Maëstro's personal
Maëstro is born on 8 March 1990 and he is a Haflinger gelding and his height is about 1.45 meter.

He is from my sister, but I have been riding on him since we have him. We have a little piece of land where he is kept together with Alf a young Shetland pony.

Maëstro was sold by my sister in the beginning of 1999. I was very sad I could not see him anymore. Unfortunatly he got sick October 1999 and died... I was so sad to hear that.

Alf's personal
Alf is born in the spring of 1996 and he is a Shetland pony and his height is ever growing. He is from my sister too and is very good company for Maëstro. They are nice to each other when we are not around, but if one of us is there Maëstro is bossing Alf around.

Alf was also sold by my sister, together with Maëstro so they could be together.

Maëstro's holiday
In the summer he always goes to land where lots of gras grows and where he can run together with other horses. This photo is taken last year when he was with another Haflinger. Maëstro is the one in the back looking towards you.

Haflinger horse in general
Haflingers are being used for, Pleasure riding and driving, Combined Driving, Eventing, Dressage-ridden and driven, Packing, Farming, and always a family friend.

The Haflinger is well suited for harness work. Pound for pound they are stronger than large horses. The color is always chestnut, from honey blond, to dark chocolate. Manes and tails are usually long, thick and snow white or flaxen. Size ranges from 13 hands up to 14-3 hands, from 600 to 1300 pounds.

The Haflinger is well muscled, with a powerful build, sturdy bone, and relatively large hooves. It has a long life span, up to 35 years old. Many are fertile well into their late 20's.
